Laser Precision for Beautiful Skin

Rohr Spectrum laser skin tightening is a safe, non-surgical method to treat wrinkles and combat sagging skin. This procedure is extremely safe, painless and quick (usually completed within an hour) and requires no downtime. Plus, it is effective on all skin types and all ages.

Through the stimulation of collagen, the Rohr Spectrum laser improves skin texture and can also target several conditions, including unwanted sun damage and age spots. Laser skin tightening can also be used as an effective treatment for removing unwanted hair.

A Non-Invasive Option

Dr. Blackledge uses Rohr Spectrum, which has been proven to be effective and advanced for the treatment of sagging skin. Rohr Spectrum targets fine lines and uneven skin tone. If you are not ready for aesthetic surgery but still want to see your skin look tighter and more youthful, then laser skin tightening may be the right fit for you. Laser skin tightening is a safe, proven technique that can lead to natural-looking outcomes.

How Does Laser Skin Tightening Work?

Laser skin tightening can help improve the appearance of your neck, cheeks, and other parts of the body, including the stomach. The Rohr Spectrum system uses infrared light, which heats the dermis underneath the skin. This heat tightens and fills loose skin by enhancing the production of collagen, a protein that supports and plumps the skin.

Rohr Spectrum laser skin tightening is light based, which means it distributes energy in an even manner. This is a natural, non-invasive approach that does not involve any chemicals. Further, laser skin tightening corrects sagging skin without any of the downtime associated with surgical procedures. Your deep layers of skin will be heated during the procedure, but the top layer of your skin will stay continuously cooled; this technique keeps you comfortable while Rohr Spectrum and Dr. Blackledge do their work.

In his Jackson, Mississippi, office, Dr. Blackledge will deliver small laser pulses via a handpiece. Some laser skin tightening sessions will take only a few minutes, while others take up to an hour. The length of treatment depends on the size of the treated area as well as your skin’s condition.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of laser skin tightening treatments you receive depends on your skin type as well as your aesthetic goals. In some cases, patients see results from laser skin tightening in as little as one treatment.

Is Laser Skin Tightening Painful?

Laser skin tightening involves minimal discomfort. Some patients describe the sensation of the procedure as a rubber band snapping on the skin. The discomfort of laser skin tightening, however, does not last long because the Rohr Spectrum system applies a cooling sensation to the upper layer of your skin.

2. What is Rohr Spectrum Laser Skin Tightening?

The Rohr Spectrum skin tightening is a safe, non-surgical method to treat wrinkles and combat sagging and aging skin by giving you a healthy and youthful appearance. Sometimes referred to as the non-surgery facelift, the Rohr Spectrum causes immediate collagen contraction, giving you tighter looking skin on the face and neck. This procedure is extremely safe, painless and quick (usually completed within an hour) and requires no downtime. Plus, it is effective on all skin types and all ages.

The face and neck are two of the most popular places for this procedure. Patients should expect gradual results over a two to six month period while the new collagen forms and continues to tighten the skin. It may take as many as 3 to 6 treatments to achieve the best results.

3. What is Rohr Spectrum Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal has become increasingly popular as the laser technologies have improved to the point that all skin types may be treated as well as all hair types. Women, as well as men, are now enjoying the benefits of permanent hair elimination.

The Rohr Spectrum Laser is one of the most popular hair removal systems on the market today. Because of its unique ability to treat skin of all ethnicities, as well as its new painless technique, it is suited well for the patients of Blackledge Face Center. The laser uses an intense light and does not require painful needles, threads or chemicals.

Areas that may be treated successfully for laser hair removal include the legs, bikini, arms, chin, upper lip, face and neck and back and shoulders. Thousands of hairs may be eliminated in just one treatment session, so large areas can be treated during your appointment.

Patients get significant improvement during their initial treatment but respond best when treated in a series typically spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. Not all hair follicles are actively growing during a laser treatment, therefore not all follicles are eliminated during a session. By spacing the treatments apart, our laser technician can successfully treat all the hair follicles as they begin to grow.

There is no downtime with laser hair removal. Patients are slightly pink for 30 to 45 minutes after the treatment but may resume their normal activities. As opposed to other treatments on the market today, laser hair removal is permanent and not a temporary fix.

4. What is Rohr Spectrum Laser Vein Removal?

Spider veins are small, thin, red or blue veins that lie close to the surface of the skin. Although these super-fine veins are connected with the larger venous system, they are not an essential part of it. A number of factors contribute to the development of spider veins, including heredity, pregnancy, hormonal changes, weight gain, occupation, activities that require prolonged sitting or standing and the use of certain medications.

5. How Are Spider Veins Treated in Laser Vein Removal?

Spider veins respond best to the Rohr Spectrum laser treatments, which emit a beam of light energy that is absorbed by the dark pigments in blood vessels and blood cells. The absorbed energy is released as heat that thermally damages the interior lining of the blood vessels, causing them to collapse and fade from view.

The Rohr Spectrum has optics specifically designed for vascular treatments with adjustable power levels and spot sizes that allow precise tracing of veins to ensure complete and proper closure.

6. What Results Can You Expect in Laser Vein Removal?

Spider Vein Management can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but it is unrealistic to believe that every affected vein will disappear completely as a result of treatment. After each session, some veins will disappear and others will appear lighter.

7. How Many Treatments of Laser Vein Removal Do You Need?
This depends on several factors such as the number and size of the veins, whether they are well separated or highly networked, the color and sensitivity of your skin, and how the interior surfaces of your veins respond to the treatments. Four or more sessions at one-month intervals are usually required to achieve optimal results.
